GEN. SMUTS'S GOVERNMENT

LONDON, November. 17.

The Cape Town correspondent of "The Times" says.that General-Smuts's Government has a majority of two in the Senate, thanks to the support of the Dominion and Labour Parties. The results of the Senate elections are:— General Smuts's Party, 13; Dominion Party, •2; Labour Party, 2; General Hertzog's Party, 9; Dr. Malan's Party, 6. Moreover, six of the senators who will be nominated will support General Smuts, while four of the senators elected who represent the natives are also expected to vote for the Government, which thus is assured of a comfortable majority..
