NORTH ISLAND TOUR

OPPOSITION LEADER

AUCKLAND, November 2.

The Leader of the Opposition (the Hon. A. Hamilton),- who arrived at Auckland last evening, is making an extensive organising tour of the North Island on behalf of the National Party. He visited Ngaruawahia yesterday, ahd was entertained by Princess Te Puea and Maori people. Afterwards he addressed a meeting of delegates from the National Party branches in the Raglan electorate. He then visited Hopuhopu Military Camp, and was conducted through the lines by the Camp Commandant (Major McHugh) and Major J. Allen, M.P. . Z

Mr. Hamilton visited Auckland coastal defences this morning, breakfasting at North Head. Afterwards he addressed a meeting of his supporters in the Chamber of Commerce. Tomorrow Mr. Hamilton will speak at Ngatea in the afternoon and at Tauranga at night. He will address a meeting at Whakatane on Saturday night. He will be in Auckland on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, leaving for Wellington on Tuesday night by the Limited express in order to attend the opening of the Centennial Exhibition on Wednesday.
