"THE ADOLESCENT GIRL"
The Karori branch of the League of Mothers held a successful meeting recently, Mrs. Robert Gunn presiding. Miss Barr, 0.8. E., gave an address on the "Adolescent Girl." She urged mothers to'keep, their .daughters' confidence,, as i a barrier ; created during the adolescent period was most difiicult to breabk down later on. A girl's energies, should be directed towards playing games, reading suitable books, or in anything to keep her mind fully occupied. Miss Barr was presented -With a posy Of flowers. Mrs. Bowe sang two songs, and the choir a b'ra6ket.of items, Mrs. Cable being the accompanist. The play-reading circle presented a ,humorous play entitled "The Advertisement," those taking part being Mesdames Pointen, Harvie, Wilson, Morse, Jennings, and Janisch. Before afternoon tea was served, a presentation was made to Mrs. Gunn by Mrs. Urquhart on behalf of the committee.'
