HALLOWE'EN PARTY
The Wellington Caledonian Society held a very successful Hallowe'en party on Monday evening, and there was a large attendance. Games >pf all sorts, including the time-libribufed "dooking for apples," were played, and an interesting programme of exhibition daricing was given. Audrey Young, Yvonne Mullins, Georgina . /Tnohias Betty Sinosj Betty Williams, Merle McClymont,* Joan Dunstall,, Joy Janason, and Peggy McKinnon contributed items, and community singing viras also enjoyed. Mrs. McGowah's juvenile "Hill Billies" entertained the company. There was dancing . later; Mr. A. Burnette acting as M.C. Acting Pipe-Major W. Smith and Ph}e-Corporal G. Fraser provided the mUsic for the Scots dances, and Mrs. McGowan arid Mr. D. Stewart furnished the' accompanying music. Those in charge of the games were Miss Lulu Clark and Messrs. A. McWhinnie arid Xb: Stewart. During the evening the chief, Mr. iR. H. Nimmo, referred to the festival of Hallowe'en and the customs connected with it.
