TEA MAY BE DEARER
Various reasons, including restrictions of imports and remittances, are given
for pending increases in the price of tea, packed and loose.' It is reported that there is a shortage of supplies and in addition to this prices of teas in Ceylon, India, and elsewhere have been substantially increased; local costs of packing proprietary brands, it iS also reported, have also been increased. Some rise in the retail price of tea is ■ now considered inevitable.
