Masterton nominations are due on Monday evening. Spender, engaged in the hurdles at Marton tomorrow, has not raced since last December. R. W. McTavish stated, last weekend that he would not be accepting the retainer to ride in Melbourne. The death is reported of Mr. J. Hollier, the owner of Te Hero. Willen, who figures in the two jumping events at Marton tomorrow, is an eight-year-old gelding of unknown breeding. His owner is Mr. D. Enright. Colincamps, who is due to resume at Marton has not raced since winning at Otaki in June, when he ricked himself. However, his fullbrother Red Chief won at Awapuni last Saturday first up for the season. Dainty Sue will be having her first start in Mrs. E. Berryman's colours when she steps out in the Marton Handicap tomorrow. At her last start she was narrowly beaten in the Anniversary Handicap at Stratford in April. On her fine finishing run at Awapuni last Saturday the Inflation filly Classform should be in the money at Marton tomorrow. Earl Colossus, who is due to resume racing in the hurdles at Marton toI morrow, has been off the scene since March. He is not a newpomer to jumping, as he had a few runs over fences three seasons ago and at his first start in the role beat everything except Gold Cure at Wanganui. A number of horses racing at Marton tomorrow have previously gone well on the course. Military Maid won there last September, Aurora's Star, Seyfried, The Bigot, and Filetto last January, and Kaiwaka and Liberal's Mint last July. Winners on the course two seasons ago included Chat (twice), Conveyer, Air Shot, 1 Shining Hours, Hunting Lore, Wir.some Lv, and Flying Acre,
