QUIET DAY ON THE FRONT

[ "The British troops in France are in fine condition and in good heart," said the Secretary of War, Mr. HoreBelisha, on returning to London after meeting Viscount Gort, M. Daladier, and Marshal Gamelin. - j A French communique says: "The day was generally quiet and uneventful. There was some enemy artillery activity south of Saarbrucken. Despite bad weather and anti-aircraft fire, we carried out a number of reconnais-j sance flights." i
