WANG CHING-WEI AS CHIEF
(Received September 22, 10.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI, September 21. The Domei, news agency says that the leaders of the Japanese-controlled administrations at Peking and Nanking conferred and agreed to form a central regime under Mr. Wang Chingwei, who is acclaimed as the legitimate leader of the Kuomintang. Mr. Wang Ching-wei made a statement that he had obtained the full ! understanding and support of Mr. I Wang Keh-min and Mr. Liang Sungchih, the leaders of the Peking and Nanking regimes, and that henceforth they would work harmoniously for the realisation of peace.
Mr. Wang Ching-wei, a former Premier of China, has been expelled from the Kuomintang, together with his followers, for carrying on peace negotiations with the Japanese in opposition to General Chiang Kai-shek's Government.
