BUILDING CONTROLLER

A Gazette notice released today announces the appointment of Mr. A. Tyndall as Building Controller under the Building Emergency Regulations. Mr. Tyndall's post as Oil Fuel Controller has been taken by Mr. G. L.. Laurenson, Commassioner of Transport.

The function c<f the Building Controller shall be primarily to organise and promote the -undertaking of constructional works according to. their importance in the; public interest. He has power to stop work in progress, and to regulate, restrict, and control the use, sale, sup/pily, distribution, and disposal of buffidmg materials.
