BUT MONEY RECOVERED

AUCKLAND, August 27

An elderly Chinese, Lee Jung, was robbed of more than £130 which constituted the greater portion of his life's savings when he was overpowered in a public convenience in Myers Park on Saturday night. He was carrying the money, a wad of notes, in his breast pocket. He accompanied detectives during a search for his assailant when the money was recovered.

An elderly Maori woman suspect was arrested.
