VICTORIA BOWLING CLUB
A return visit of the Karori Bowling Club to the Victoria Bowling Club , was made on Thursday evening. There j was a large attendance and a most ; enjoyable even ing. was spent. j
In the unavoidable absence of th« • president (Mr. T. Forsyth), Mr. S. In-' gram welcomed the visitors. Such. I visits, he said, were much appreciated ' as a means of cultivating closer friend- \ ships, which side of the game was ' of the utmost value. i Mr. J. B. Jordan, on behalf of the Karori Club, expressed pleasure at , the opportunity in the off-season of ■ meeting so many of those they had ' met during the summer.
Mr. Ingram then asked all to observe a minute's silence, coupled with the hope that peace would be preserved.
During the evening there was a community sing, and items were given by Mr. J. S. Keith, Mr. G. A. Hetherlngton, and Norman Aitken.
