In the Australian open golf championship, N. yon Nida (New South Wales), with a splendid 68 in the second round and an aggregate of 140, now leads the field. Then come Martin-Smith (—), 141, Charles Connors (New South Wales), 142, A. M. Waterson (NeAV South Wales) 143, J. Ferrier (NeAV South Wales) 144.
Today's play occurred in tempestuous conditions, which ruined the chances of some of the competitors.
