FLIGHT TO SUVA

EARLY IN SEPTEMBER

It is intended to carry out an air survey of the route between Auckland and Suva. Fiji, early in September, stated the Minister in Charge of Civil Aviation, the Hon. F. Jones, yesterday. The first of two proposed flights to Suva will be undertaken by the Aotearoa between September 7 and September 10.

There will also be a number of survey flights to Sydney from Auckland. The flights to Suva will have the effect not only of providing information about the route itself, but will also enable valuable data to be obtained concerning the landing of flying-boats at Suva, added the Minister.
