Less tobacco was grown in New Zealand this year than last. The statistical position is that for 1938-39, 1807 acres were cultivated against 1972 acres last year and production was 1,402,6171b of tobacco leaf, against 1,748,3001b for 1937-38. DIVIDENDS DUE.
