TENNIS ZONE FINAL
AUSTRALIA WINS DOUBLES
(Received August 12, 11 a.m.) \
NEW YORK, August 11.
In the final of the American zone of the Davis Cup competition Australia beat Cuba by three matches tq nil. In the doubles today A. K. Quist and '
J. Eromwich beat R. Morales and J. Nodarse, 6-1, 6-0, 6-3.
The Australians clearly outclassed the Cubans, although games frequently went to deuce, due chiefly to Bromwich's inability to. hit accurately. Quist, who was in his best form, was forced to do the brunt of the work.
The Cubans, who are just average players without any outstanding strokes, seemed to have no plan of attack, scoring almost entirely on the Australians' errors.
