Mr. C. Meachen, hon. secretary Of the National Blood Transfusion Service, delivered a lecture this week on blood transfusion to members of the Seventh Day Adyentists, who are now undergoing training in first aid and home nursing. Mr. Meachen appealed for more members to enrol in this humanitarian service in view of the large demands that were being made upon it, and as a result of the lecture it is anticipated that a number of interested men and women will join the Wellington branch as active members.
