PAHIATUA POINT-TO-POINT
The annual point-to-point of the Pahiatua branch of the Dannevhrke Hunt Club, held on the Pahiatua racecourse, was a very successful gathering. The officials were:—Starter, Mr. B. Draper; judge of jumping events,; I Mr. L. H. Collinson; judge of racing j i events, Mr. Lan Taylor; clerk of scales, j I Mr. P. J. C. Lloyd: hon. treasurer,! Mr. T. F. Anderson; clerk of course, Mr. F. Selby; timekeepei', Mr. F. E. Ward. In the Owners' Point-to-Point, Mr. G. Mattson broke a collarbone when his mount. Spearson, fell. Results included:— Owners' Point-to-Point Steeplechase (owners up); about 2$ miles.—Barney (Mr. S. Taylor), 1; Oete (Mr. L. Olsen), 2; Trooper (Mr. Duncan Holden)*; 3. Also started: Rangi. Spearson. Twelve lengths; five lengths. Time. smin 20sec. Pahiatua Point-to-Point Steeplechase: about 2i miles.—Nightrunner (W. McLean), 1; Gaswyn (W. H. Bradbury), 2; Greek Anna (D. Bicknell), 3. Also started: Sir Roley. Six lengths; twelve lengths. Time, smin lOsec. Oete Point-to-Point Steeplechase; about 24- miles.—Summons (Mr. L. White), "1; Bardowie (H. G. Hobson), 2; Aluka (W. McLeen), 3. Also started: Mirtallo. Two lengths; twenty lengths. Time, smin 30sec. Ladies' Flat Race; 1 mile.—Trevelyn Hold (Miss F. White), 1; Greek Anna (Miss E. Tait). 2; Petrarch (Miss X Bowman), 3. Also started: Oete, Tipsy Miss. Mirtallo. Two lengths; three lengths. Time, 2min Ssec.
