(By .Telegraph-^-Press Association.)'" ■';
AUCKLAND, This Day. ".
Chung Ngim, aged 19, charged with remaining in New Zealand after the extended period of his temporary permit had expired, was today ordered by the Magistrate, Mr. Hording, to'be deported to Canton, from where .he came two and a half years ago on .a nine months' visit to his father at Tauranga. f The Collector pf Customs, Mr. Abercrombie, who prosecuted, said that the Department suspected that prospects of obtaining cheap labour were Jhe incentive in the efforts to retain.this young man in the country. He had caused considerable trouble by not answering letters, and some expense to his guarantor. If he were allowed to remain difficulty would be created in obtaining the removal of other Chinese.
