Mr E. V. Bevan, New Zealand manager of the Shaw Savill and Albion Line, is .returning to Wellington in the Awatea on August 7 after an extended visit to Australia.

Mr. Eoin Fraser, of the Shaw.Savill and Albion executive in New Zealand, will be leaving Wellington on August 9 on a visit to Sydney and Melbourne.

Mr. H. D. Acland, Royal Danish Consul in Christchurch, has been appointed by the King of Denmark a knight of the Royal Order of Dannebrog in recognition of long service. Notice of his appointment was received by Mr. Acland yesterday from the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen.
