VALIANT LADY WELL

Though Valiant Lady was unable to function in the dragging , ground^ at Trentham. where she was produced on. only one occasion, her form at Otaki was bettei\ for in finishing a good second to Saxon Tor in one division of the maiden scurry there she was responsible for a performance comparable with that of Peach King in the other division. She is one of the more likely runners in the maiden event at Marton tomorrow. Valiant Lady is a . three-year-old brown filly who carries the colours of Mr. I. D. Cameron, of Masterton, and is trained by A. Jenkins. She is a daughter of Lackham and a mare named Valky, who raced only twice. Valky was by Valkyrian from Red Pine, by Soult from a Leolantis mare. Red Pine also failed on , the race track, but she had numerous offspring at the stud, among them that good jumper Tall Timber.
