ESPERANTO
' The Weekly meeting bi the iftiramar Esperanto- Society was held on Monday night in the clubroom, St. Aidan's Hall, Miramar Avenue. Further letters were received from foreign countries congratulating the society on the occasion of its letter evening. Mr. Bertram Potts, who presided, referred to the growth of Esperanto, particularly in connection with broadcasts nightly from European stations. It was, announced that a "book-title dance" would take place at the hall of the Wellington Esperanto Club on Saturday night. Regarding the programme period, it w*fi decided to have a change by way of an evening of original sketches, nine of the members present j promising to write a playlet each. [These would be brought to the club [next week and casts arranged. The usual classes were formed, when inj struction proceeded for an hour, after which supper was served. The memI bers divided into conversation groups land spent the remainder of a pleasant and instructive evening in general discussion in Esperanto.
