"FINANCIAL GANGSTERS"
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —The term "financial gangster" interests me. Has it something to do with the transferring of money? If so is the "gangster" the person who transfex-s the money, or is it the present New Zealand Government which confirmed Section 16 (1) of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, which reads: —"On presentation at the Head Office of the Reserve Bank in Wellington of notes of the Bank to any amount not less than five thousand pounds, it shall be the duty of the Bank, in accordance with this section, to give in' exchange for such notes sterling for immediate delivery in London." .
Perhaps also the people in England' whom the Government representative in Lonaon is trying to induce to transfer their money to New Zealand also fall into the category of "financial gangsters."—l am, etc..
INTERESTED,
