MARRIAGE REGISTRAR FOR LOWER HUTT
The feegistrar-General advised the Lower Hutt Council at its meeting on Monday that certain disabilities would follow the appointment of an officer in Lower Hutt to register marriages. It might mean in some cases that inconvenience would be caused to one of the parties' by having to reside in the district for three days prior to the marriage. . ■ .
The council considered that the advantages would outweigh the • disadvantages and decided to make a further request for the appointment of a registrar in the district.
