He will relieve toe RevC. J. G. Sam'uda, vicar of Johnsonville, during the latter's -.absence through illness. Mr. A. C. Hatrick, managing director of A. d, Hatrick; Pty.; Ltd., Syd* ney, arrived by the Wanganella today on a business visit to New Zealand. Lieutenant L. D. Maling, of the llth Sikh Regiment, India, arrived by the Wanganella today., to spend his'; triennial leave with his family in Christchurch. Dr. S. S. Strachan, who has retired from oractice in Hong Kong, and is en route to England, arrived from Syd* ney hy the Wanganella today. Sir James Hutchinson, editor of the "Otago Daily Times," Dunedin, returned by.the Wanganella today after a holiday visit to Australia. Mr. G. E. Rennie, of Doyleston, Can-, terbury, returned by the Wanganella today after visiting the Sydney sheep sales. He was accompanied by his-son, Mr. W. O. Rennie.
