SEATOUN SCHOOL
HEADMASTER WELCOMED
Members of the school committee, Home and School Association, and the teaching staff gathered in the Seatoun School last evening to welcome the new headmaster, Mr. D. S. Rust, formerly of the Masterton West School. The chairman of the school committee, Mr. E. J. Elliott, who presided, said he hoped that Mr. Rust's stay at the school would be a long and successful one. He assured him of the co-operation of the school committee and teaching staff. Mrs. Greig, chairmari of the Home and School Association, presented Mrs. Rust with a beautiful bouquet. Several other speakers endorsed the chairman's remarks.
Replying, Mr. Rust said he was greatly pleased to be at the school, and he was sure that with the help of the teachers and committee everything would progress. "We are facing a new type of education today," said Mr. Rust, "and this is visual education. It is necessary for the school to be equipped with all the latest educational ideas, such as film projectors, to cope with the new methods."
