SHOWMAN FINED
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, This Day. A reported disagreement between two showmen's organisation, the New Zealand Outdoor Amusement Caterers' Guild and the New Zealand Showmen's Association, came to a head last evening when the police were called in to stop a fracas which had developed at the Waikato Winter Show.
As a result Cecil William Mitchell (Mr. J. W. King), aged 29, showman, and Allan Barton, aged 27, showman, appeared before Messrs. F. Findlay and G. K. Sinclair, J.P.s, in the Hamilton Police Court today charged with fighting. The case against Mitchell was dismissed and Barton was fined £5, in default fourteen days' imprisonment. Mitchell pleaded not guilty and Barton pleaded guilty.
