WELLINGTON AND HUTT MEET
PROFESSIONAL AND WATT CUP GAMES
An unusually heavy programme of golf matches was conducted in Wellington over the weekend. Conditions, apart from some light rain on Saturday afternoon, were quite goo(J, links in practically all cases being in first-class order. Norman yon Nida, Australian professional, comfortably beat A. J. Shaw, a Wellington professional, at the Miramar links. Hutt and Wellington met in the first major inter-club match of the season, the A teams at Heretaunga and the B teams at HutL Watt and Ranish Cup matches between Waiwetu and Shandon were played at the Shandon links.
