CONCERT AT CENTRAL PARK HOSPITAL
An enjoyable concert was held at the Central Park Hospital, Ohiro Road, on Wednesday, when the Wellington Working Men's Club Orchestra and concert party entertained the staff and patients. Musical selections were interspersed with items provided by members of the orchestra, those contributing being Mrs. N. MacKechnie (vocal solo), Miss M. Purdue ('cello solo), Mrs. A. Stout (elocutionary item). J. Gibson (banjo solo), Mr. H. Inglis (clarinet solo), and Mr. K. Rigby, chairman of the entertainment committee (vocal solo). Mrs. M. Duffy and Master Inglis acted as accompanists on the piano. After supper, Mr. X Rigby, on behalf of the club, voiced the pleasure of the visiting party at once again renewing the association of years, and Mr. F. Chapman, orchestral conductor, expressed similar sentiments in closing the entertainment. Mr. W. Bell responded on behalf of the staff and patients, expressing pleasure at the entertainment provided.
