CORRESPONDENCE
PENSIONERS AND RENTS
(To the Editor.)
Sir, —At this time when pensioners are looking forward to an increased benefit that- will enable them to better enjoy their Vemaining days, it is obviously unfair that landlords are taking advantage of the opportunity to exact more rent from their tenants. This is now a daily occurrence, but is especially noted \vhere the landlord is himself a tenant and is "farming" his house into flats and to roomers. Is there no law to stop this? If ever a "Fair Rents Act" should apply it is now, without delay, so that there may be fair play for one and all. —I am, etc.,
JUSTICE
