PIGEON RACING

Flying from Taihape, an airline distance of 115 miles, in 3hr 3min 48sec, Mr. D. Andrews's bird registered a velocity of 1240.3 yds per minute, and won the thirteenth race of the 1939 young birds' programme carded by the Hutt Valley Homing Pigeon Club.
