SOUTH POLAR EXPEDITION

Interviewed in connection with the proposal that he and Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth should organise a South Polar expedition to make sure of American claims to territory, Admiral Byrd said that the summer of 1940 would be the most practical season for the Government expedition.
