CHURCH AFFAIRS
TRINITY METHODIST
The Rev. Walter Parker presided at the quarterly meeting of the Trinity Methodist Church, Wellington South, held recently. He was supported by Mr. E. Feltham and Miss K. Boxall, circuit stewards. The balance-sheet revealed that there had been a notable increase in the cash collections, which were considered a record for the holiday quarter. Including the Harvest Thanksgiving' Sunday, there was a credit balance 'of £58 14s 6d. The circuit had donated £50 to the trust part of the sum borrowed in 1934 to beautify the interior of the church. Ten pounds had also been granted to the Sunday school for "equipment. In future the circuit credits will be donated chiefly to the painting of Trinity Church, and to repay £100 to the new Sunday school fund, an amount which was recently given to help the Wanganui trust. Mention was made of the large number of strangers attending the church.
It was reported that a unanimous wish had been expressed that the Rev. Walter Parker should remain as superintendent of the circuit for six years.
