GOOD WORK DONE

JUNIOR CHAMBER OF

COMMERCE

Mr. C. J. Mac Gibbon presided over a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Wellington Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Captain S. Holm, president of the senior Chamber of Commerce, assured the meeting that the junior chamber could count on the wholehearted support of the older chamber. He warned the members not to be disheartened if they thought the junior chamber had done too little in its first year. It took time to achieve things and the junior chamber had done good work. Wellington had the largest junior Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand and the senior chamber hoped it would maintain, if not increase, its membership.

Messrs. R. H. Beaumont, E. A. Crothall, N. R., Dowdall, and H. J. Trembath were elected to the board, other members of which are Messrs. C. J. Mac Gibbon (chairman), L. M. Enting (deputy chairman), N. V. Brewerton, N. I. Curtis, H. J. Eaton, N. J. Glover, A. Eaton Hurley, and J. U. Smith.
