EASTER BOOKINGS

HEAVY RAIL TRAFFIC

Judging by the bookings for Easter rail travel, something like a record is indicated this year. Three expresses on Thursday for Auckland are already booked up, and others are filling rapidly for other places. The Napier and New Plymouth bookings are exceptionally heavy at this date. Early reservations are urged by the .Department so that passengers may fil] their needs to their own satisfaction, and at the same time give indications that will enable the Department to allocate the necessary rolling-stock where it is needed.
