OBITUARY

MRS. MARGARET PALMER,

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

PALMERSTON N., This Day

With the death of Mrs. Margaret Palmer, widow of Captain Harry Palmer, who was killed in the Gallipoii campaign, the city and district has lost a lady who had been closely associated with organisations having as their object the welfare of the people, for about half a century. She was 76 years of age. During the Great War she was an assiduous patriotic worker, and since then she identified herself with the Red Cross movement, the activities of the Institute for the Blind at Auckland, and-.other organisations of a similar nature. She is survived by three sons, Messrs. Frank. Bert, and Harry Palmer.

If it becomes you wear ''grey with cool white" this summer in uncrushable linen or spun rayon; it's superb touched with crisp white pique.
