RECALLED TO BERLIN
AMBASSADOR TO FRANCE TALKS ON MEMEL SITUATION ißeceived March 21, 9.50 a.m.) BERLIN, March 20: Count yon Welczeck* German Ambassador to France, has been recalled for consultation. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister had a conversation with the Foreign Minister, Herr yon Ribbentrop. It is believed that they discussed the Memel situation. The military leaders attended a meeting of the Cabinet, after which Herr Hitler received the Italian Ambassador, Sigrior Attolico. It is understood that Germany's eastern fortifications are being further strengthened. CAMP AT GDYNIA ANGLO-AMERICAN PLAN CZECHO-SLOVAK REFUGEES LONDON, March 20. The British and American Ministers in Prague have under discussion the formation of a refugee camp at Gdynia, on the Baltic, for Czechoslovak fugitives, pending their departure for England and America. Three hundred who were furnished with British visas and labour permits are hiding in the woods fearing arrest, while Britons who provided them with the permits refuse to disclose their addresses to the Germans.
