OBITUARY

MRS. DAVID CUDDIE. The death occurred yesterday of Mrs. Annie Cuddie, wife of Mr. David Cuddie, Seatoun. Many friends will mourn her loss, as, although she led a life that was far removed from the public eye, it was a life devoted to the interests of her family, friends, and associates, almost to the entire exclusion of herself. She was very active during the war-time in connection with work for the Red Cross, in which she was associated with the Kelburn Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cuddie, who was 72. years of age, came of a pioneering family, being the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crammond, of East Taieri, Otago. She married Mr. Cuddie in 1893. In 1898 they left Otago and went to live in Waverley, Taranaki. They came to Wellington in 1900, Mi. Cuddie taking a position in the Department of Agriculture as Director of the Dairy Commission. Mrs. Cuddie leaves her husband and one son, Mr. James R. Cuddie.
