BLOODSTOCK SALE AT TRENTHAM. LOODSTOCK SALE AT TRENTHAM. SATURDAY, MARCH 18, at 9.15 a.m. Six English Brood Mares in foal to N.Z. time. These represent the best English, and French blood and are sired by Ella-n----gowan, Felstead, Diomedes, Revillon, Salmon Leap, and Apple Sammy, from dams by Chaucer, Captain Cuttle, Torloisk, Gay Crusader, Sardanapale. and Buehan. All are in foal to the highly-related and wellperformed French horse Lang Bian, a son of the great sire and stayer Marine (Ascot Gold Cup, etc.), and descending from Baroness La Fleche (g. dam o£ Beau Pere, etc.). Eight yearlings and two three-year-olds on account of Mr. L. C. Hazlett. Salisbury, Otago. These yearlings are all by Gustavo, already the sire of three winnersin G-usterino, Gusto, and Guste, and of King Gustavo, beaten a head by Winning Rival in the- McLean Stakes. They are out of noted winner-producing dams and claim, close relationship to Alma Travena, Amy Johnson, Mary Pratt, Loughrea, Half Note, Pink Note, Ravenna, and High Gear, recent winners in the South.
