JUNIOR TENNIS TEAM
RETURN FROM AUSTRALIA
' -Three of the five rt ydtttig tennis players who went to Australia to gain further experience returned to Wellington by the Wangahella today with their* manager, Mr. H. M. Boddington. They were S. Painter, R. S, McKenzie, and D. i. Kelly. The other two members; A. S. Burns and B. Broun, werit direct from Sydney to Auckland. The boys did well considering the conditions, said Mr. Boddington. They had a whole wet week, which largely nullified the purpose of the trip, though the boys had some practice with good players, including the fsimous Jack Crawford, at the White City courts. They were to have practised with McGrath and Gilchrist, but the weather upset everything. The boys, however, thoroughly enjoyed the trip. They did their best, and were coming right into form when the weather interfered withthe programme.
