FITNESS WEEK CAMPAIGN
(To the Editor.) Sir, —May we request a few lines in which to voice our appreciation for the splendid co-operation that was shown to the Wellington Organising Committee of the Physical Fitness Campaign. .There are so many people who contributed to the week's celebrations that •it would be difficult to name them personally, but the committee would like to thank them collectively for the part they played in making the week the success that it was. Particular mention should be made of the kindness of the Press, and to the City Corporation for the many favours rendered to the committee. Members of the committee are conscious that Wellington's efforts were not perfect, but we were asked to assume. a responsibility, and did so, in the belief that what we were doing was not to be evaluated on the basis of perfection, but was an attempt to initiate the idea of celebrating a physical fitness week. Our efforts were only possible through the concerted help of many people, and the support of the Wellington public.—We are, etc., MARTIN LUCKIE, Chairman. VICTOR C. JONES, - Honorary Organiser.
