SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. ( Yesterday there was a continuance of antlcvclonie conditions with fair, warm weather, and winds principally light north-easter ies or ortherlies. Over the South Island, however, the winds freshened with the approach of a shallow depression, and following its passage during the night, turned to light south-easterlies over the-southern and eastern districts. This morning there was low cloud and in places j light drizzle abefut Southland and Otago, but elsewhere the 'weather remained fine and warm. j
