The Ceylon tea market this week, according to private advices received in Wellington, was strong and active. Common teas advanced £d a lb . and medium and fine teas id to §d. There has been a further improvement in quality, fine teas now being obtainable. Smaller supplies are coming to hand. The catalogue for next week's sale comprises 1,750,0001b. The London market was active. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, February 22. Mr. L. M. Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of February .21:—At yesterday's tea sale of 1,750,0001b, keen interest was shown in all grades. Common sorts were id dearer, medium advanced id, and fine kinds were slightly dearer, following the improved quality of the offerings. Another 1,750,0001b will be offered at next week's sale.
