WOOL MARKET

WANGANUI OFFERING

The New Zealand wool market will be tested again at Wanganui tomorrow. The sale, which will commence at 2.30 p.m., will be the second Wanganui sale of the series. There is an approximate offering of 24,000 bales, distributed over eight catalogues. The wool to be offered will include many more back-country clips than at the auction in January. Because of the erratic shearing season a good deal of seed may be showing in some of the wool. It is anticipated that prices will be firm on Napier, the trend there this week being firm on the January range. At Wanganui in January 27,265 bales were offered, and 26,387 bales were sold. The average price per bale was £13 14s 5d and the total realisation | was £362,100 17s 2d.
