NEW SUB-INSPECTOR

PRAISE FROM THE BENCH

Congratulations from the Bench were extended to Sub-Inspector D. J. O'Neill, newly appointed to commissioned rank, when he rose to conduct police cases before Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.

"I would like to take this opportunity, Sub-Inspector O'Neill, of congratulating you on your recent promotion," 'said Mr. Luxford. "I hope you will be as successful in your commissioned rank as you were in your noncommissioned rank."

"Thank you, your Worship," replied the sub-inspector. "I appreciate your remarks very much."

The hearing of cases then proceeded.
