The London representative of "The Post" reports that at the quarterly meeting of the Council of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the following New • Zealanders were elected to membership of the college:—S. G. Cumming (New Zealand), J. E. Giesen (Dannevirke), and N. K. B. Kimbell (Lower Hutt).

Dr. L. H. Aitken (Auckland) intends staying in London for about two years. He is studying fo- his F.R.C.S. degree at Middlesex Hospital. Dr. P. Cousin Davie (New Plymouth) has arrived in England, chiefly to brush up his surgery, gynaecology, and obstetrics. He is taking a post-graduate course and he is meeting eminent men in the clinics of the various hospitals. At the conclusion of his stay in London Dr. Davi will take a further course in Edinburgh and then he will visit hospitals in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Germany, Moscow, and Geneva, with a view to studying maternity and child welfare work.

Father Patrick Lagan, of Middlesbrough, who returned to England four years ago after 15 years in the Dominion, is to take over a parish in the Auckland district, says "The Post's" London representative. His work will be among the Maoris.
