(Received January 23, 12.10 p.m.)
BERLIN, January 22,
The official spokesman said that the Czech Foreign Minister, Dr. Chvalkovsky, had been given to understand in the course of the talks with Herr Hitler and Herr yon Ribbentrop, that there should be no room in Czechoslovakia for a policy directed against Germany and that Dr. Chvalkovsky fully endorsed this view. He assured Herr Hitler of his loyal co-operation.
Dr. Chvalkovsky doubtless returned home impressed with the necessity for strengthening economic relations with the Sudetenland and contributing his share towards an amicable settlement of relations between Czechoslovakia and Hungary.
