NATIONAL GOVERNMENT

MOVE IN PARIS

POLITICAL SENSATION

(Independent Cable Service.)

(Received December 23, 9.30 a.m.)

PARIS, December 22.

A first-class political sensation has been caused by reports that M. Blum, the Socialist leader, is sounding out M. Tardieu, who is regarded as one of the most reactionary politicians, with a view to creating a National Government, in which M. Blum is willing to serve. Both M. Tardieu and M. Delbos, who is stated to be the medium through which M. Blum and M. Tardieu conducted conversations, deny the story.
