VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

A SMALLER MAJORITY

PARIS, December 22.
The Chamber of Deputies passed a vote of confidence in the Government's Finance Bill by 291 votes to 284- There were 40 abstentions.
The vote is tantamount to approval of the decree laws, though the Premier has lost 24 votes since the last division was taken.
Subsequently a further vote was, carried by 322 to 255, with 23 abstentions.
