AN APPRECIATION

Miss V. E. Coutts-Moon, whose marriage to Mr. Arthur Warburton will take place early next year, was honoured at a pleasant gathering which took place at the Public Trust Office when the executive and staff of the head office and Wellington branch assembled to bid her farewell. Miss Affleck, of the Public Service Commissioner's office, and Mr. M. C, Barnett, a former assistant Public Trustee, were also present, to add their good wishes. A handsome silver tea and coffee service, suitably inscribed, was presented to Miss Coutts-Moon. In making the presentation on behalf of head office and branches, the Public Trustee, Mr. E. O. Hales, referred to the general' regret of the staff at the departure of Miss Coutts-Moon, and expressed his sincere appreciation of the loyal and efficient service which sfie had given the Department. The officers, all wished her every success, and trusted that the world tour which she was contemplating in the near future might be an extremely enjoyable experience. The remarks of Mr. Hales were supported by the assistant Public Trustee, Mr. W. G. Baird, and by Mr. Barnett, with whom Miss Coutts-Moon had been associated for some years in the Christchurch branch. t
