Sir Walter and Lady Carncross, who have spent a few days in Wellington, will leave today for Eltham. Mr. and Mrs. cC W. Tringham, Tala/vera Terrace, left today by the Wanganella! for a holiday visit to Sydney. Lady Buckleton and Miss Jean Buckleton, Lower Hutt, have taken a flat at Rotorua for the holidays. Mrs. Williamson and her children, who have just returned from an overseas tour, will spend Christmas with Mrs. Williamson's sisters, the Misses Montgomery, at Eastbourne, before returning to Hawke's Bay. Miss Barbara Blundell,. Heretaunga, left for Auckland yesterday. Dri and Mrs. F. Bowerbank, Mulgrave . Street, will leave tomorrow to spend the holidays at their seaside cottage at Paraparaumu. , "Mrs. Gerald Lyon, who, with her son Bruce, has been" visiting the Near East, including Singapore and Malacca and other places, has returned to New Zealand, and has left to spend Christmas at Wopdville with her sister, Mrs. J. A. Vick'ers. Miss ,K. Mackersey left Wellington this morning for Hawke's Bay, where she will stay with her sister until after the New Year. Mr. and Mrs. Lindsay Gilmour, Wellington, will spend the holidays at Taupo. Mrs. Frank Reading and Miss Betty Reading, Tinakori Road, left last night for Dunedin to stay with Mrs. Reading's father. Sir John Sinclair. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Tripe, Selwyn Terrace, will be the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Cameron, "Glendhu," Martinborough, for the Christmas holidays. Mrs. Brian Kingston, Auckland, ac- . companied by her husband, will leave tomorrow for Wellington, to stay with her mother, Mrs. David Peacock. Heretaunga. Mr. and Mrs. J. McParland will leave Wellington today to spend the Christmas holidays in Hawke's Bay. ' Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bradshaw, Friend Street, Karori, will visit Taupo and the Chateau Tongariro during the holidays. They will leave Wellington tomorrow night. Miss Helen Miller will leave Wellington on Saturday to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nicholson Miller, Havelock North. D£. and Mrs. Morvyn Williams, Wellington, will spend the holidays visiting relatives in the Wairarapa. Mrs. W. Wilson, Hokitika, will pass through Wellington tomorrow on her way to Auckland, where she will be the guest' of Mrs. J. B. Henry. Mrs. Hubeff Nathan and Miss Joyce Nathan, Hobson Crescent, will spend the holidays at Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Roberts and Miss Nora Roberts, Karori, will leave during the weekend for a holiday in Rotorua. ■i The friends of Mrs. Oswald (Beei'e and Miss Valeric Beere will be interested to hear that they are arriving iin Wellington shortly after an absence of a considerable period, spent in England and the Continent, They •'- will be accompanied by Mrs.. Beere's sister, Miss Alice Wittem, who has been spending a holiday in England. Mr. and Mrs. R. Daube-von Pechmanri, Wesley Road, and their daughters, Zita and Valeric, are visiting Auckland for a fortnight's holidayi Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Gosset have returned from a motor tour of the North Island, which included Russell and the Kauri v forests. Mrs. J. S. Caufield and family, Mori rinsville, will spend the Christmas holidays in Wellington. Miss Marion Evans, Wellington, will leave tonight to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. = Evans, Timaru. Miss J. Wightpn, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. L. Randell, Te Puke. Mrs. E. J. Miller, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss Hutchison, Australia, is visiting Wellington and is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. E. Henry (Auckland) and Mrs. S. P.
